Third Place Poetry Winner for the Florida Scholastic Press Association, and published in the Meta Interdisciplinary Journal, D.S. Fisichella was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and has loved to write since the age of ten. Although D.S. was raised in a faithful Christian home with a pastor as a father, she was not born again until the age of fourteen when the Lord spoke to her heart for the first time.

     She attended Emmaus Baptist College where she earned her One Year Bible Certificate then went on to pursue studies in music composition and classical singing at Saint Petersburg College. 

      D.S. married the love of her life in July of 2016. Inspired by her husband and new beginnings, D.S. started to write Dreamer during her pregnancy with her now two-year-old son. She currently resides in Tampa Bay, Florida.
